Artist-educator Stephanie Lanter has been exhibiting her award-winning ceramic sculpture, drawings and mixed media works internationally since 2000. She currently is an Associate Professor of Ceramics at the University of Hartford, Hartford Art School in Connecticut, having previously taught at Emporia State University in Kansas for nine years, as well as Washburn University and Wichita State University. She has had residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts (MT), Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (TN), the LH Project (OR), Red Lodge Clay Center (MT), Anderson Ranch (CO), and the Mendocino Arts Center (CA). Stephanie has taught workshops at Arrowmont, Wesleyan Potters, Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts, Appalachian Center for Craft, the University of Arkansas, and many other institutions, and given presentations for organization such as NCECA, ArtAxis, CAA. She has also contributed writings to the field in journals such as Ceramics Monthly and Ceramics, Art and Perception. She holds an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University (2002) and a BA in Art from Xavier University (1998).
